Part 2-97/98 Season Premiere)

Ross dumps Bonnie, which takes all night; she leaves the beach house the next morning.Meanwhile, Rachel writes a long letter to Ross that she needs him to read before they getback together; he tries to read it but falls asleep... then has to fake it when she asks him about it; Ross agrees with the letter before he finds out what it says; once he finds out the letter asks him to accept the breakup was all his fault, he's not sure he can keep up the charade. Phoebe is upset that her real mother never tried to contact her; she tells her mother she never wants to see her again, but her mother finally convinces her to reconcile. Monica, Chandler, and Joey spend the day on the beach; Joey digs a hole; Monica gets stung by a jellyfish. Joey remembers that peeing on a jellyfish sting takes the pain away; Monica "can't bend that way" and Joey gets "Stage Fright," leaving Chandler. Ross can't stand hiding his feelings and he and Rachel breakup again.


Joey and Chandler agree to sell their oversized entertainment center;they have a hard time selling it but and easy time being robbed by a prospective buyer, thanks to Joey. Monica goes out with Chip, Rachel's high school prom date; unfortunately, Chip hasn't grown much since Lincoln High. Ross and Rachel continue to bicker about their break-up. Phoebe finds a cat and is convinced it's her mother reincarnated; a poster is found for a missing cat, but no one has the heart to tell Phoebe... except Ross.


Chandler goes out with Joanna. Rachel doesn't like the idea. Joey buys the encyclopedia book "V" from a salesman for $50 and wants to talk about what he learned with the gang.


Joey agrees to teach Treeger how to dance so that Monica and Rachel won't get evicted. Ross tries to help Chandler quit the gym, but in the process joins himself. Phoebe, have trouble being professional with a massage client and as a result gets fired.


Chandler sees a girl he's attracted to and before he asks her out he finds out that she's Joey's new girlfriend, Kathy. He struggles with his feelings for her throughout the episode. Rachel dates a College guy to spite Ross and Ross pretends that he's dating a women when he's actually her babysitter.


Ross dates a woman (Rebecca Romjin) who is great looking and smart but is very messy. Chandler buys Kathy a book she likes and Joey buys a pen with a clock in it for her birthday. Chandler gives Joey the book to give to Kathy but she knows that Chandler bought the gift. Monica starts catering with Phoebe.


Chandler kisses Kathy behind Joey's back. She breaks up with Joey and Joey finds out the other guy is Chandler. Phoebe thinks Ross has great musical talents but the others think he's awful.


In order to show how much he cares about his friendship with Joey, Chandler gets in a box. Monica invites the on-call eye doctor Timothy, who happens to be Richard's son, for Thanksgiving. Ross gets mad at Rachel for exchanging the gold necklace he gave last year.


A owner of a restaurant confronts Monica for writing a bad review about his restaurant. The owner gives Monica the position of head chef. Joanna agrees to promote Rachel but unfortunately before she does, she gets hit by a taxi. After Gandolph, a party dude, doesn't come to visit them, Chandler, Ross and Joey decide to party themselves.


Ross meets a girl from PoughKeepsie. He goes out with a girl from uptown at the same time because she's do close. Chandler sets Rachel up with some guy at work because Rachel wants to have a fling. Monica hires Joey as a waiter so she can fire him in front of the others to show them that she's the boss. Meanwhile, Phoebe writes a Christmas song.


Phoebe's brother Frank announces that he and Alice got married. They want Phoebe to be a surrogate mother for their child. The gang does not agree with Phoebe wanting to do this. Joey gets a a job as a tour guide in the museum but Ross doesn't eat lunch with him since the lab coat guys never eat with the blue blazer guys. Ross decides to change because he feels it's unnatural. Meanwhile, Chandler gets tips from Monica and Rachel about bedroom techniques.


Pheobe goes through the procedure to become a surrogate mother. She finds out that Frank and Alice have given everything they have to have this child. Meanwhile, the guys (Chandler and Joey) and the girls (Monica and Rachel) have a contest to see who knows more about the other. It starts out as a $100 bet, but the stakes are raised. Finally, if the girls win, the guys have to get rid of the chick (who's going through some changes and thinks she's a rooster) and the duck. But if the guys win, they get the girls apartment.


Rachel's department is terminated and she is demoted to personal shopper. She gets attracted Joshua (Tate Donovan), a client who is recently divorced. She tries to asks him out but has difficulty because she has never asked a guy out. Chandler thinks Kathy is sleeping with Nick, an actor in the play she's doing. Meanwhile, Monica decorates the apartment so that the gang will hang out in her new apartment. She has always been the hostess and goes to extreme measures to accomplish that.


Rachel's boss asks her to entertain her niece but Joshua also invites her to his club opening. So, Rachel asks Ross to do it for her. To everyone's surprise, Ross thinks Emily (Helen Baxendale)is incredible and ends up going to Vermont with her. He thinks he can finlly move on and thanks Rachel for getting him there. Meanwhile, the girls take Chandler, who still struggling to get over Kathy, to a strip club. Joey, who's in a movie with Charleston Heston, ends up using his shower.


Ross plays rugby with Emily's friends to impress her. He gets bruised pretty bad in the process. Monica can't stand not knowing what a switch in the apartment does so she goes through lot of trouble to find out. Meanwhile, guess who's back? It's Janice -Oh, my, God!. Chandler tells her that his company has transferred him to Yemen so he can get rid of her.


Rachel throws a surprise party for Emily so that she can invite Joshua and seduce him. Her attempts fail miserably, yet she succeeds in getting Joshua at the end. The party ruins Ross' plans for spending time with Emily, who is leaving in two days. Meanwhile, Phoebe develops a craving for meat.


Monica convinces Ross to tell Emily that he loves her. In the process, Ross finds out that there's another guy (Colin), and goes to London to prove his love. The guys get the porn channel free but doesn't turn off the TV, fearing the porn will be gone. Meanwhile, Phoebe finds out that she is expecting triplets. Then she decides to give massages in a van to help Frank and Alice financially.


Alice tells Phoebe that she gets to pick the third baby's name. Joey suggests 'the Hulk' but then Chandler and Joey tries to convince Phoebe to name the baby after them. In the process, Chandler finds out that his name is a stupid, non-name and decides to change it. Meanwhile, Ross gets jealous that Emily is doing stuff in London with Susan, who's shooting a commercial there. He believes that they're having too much fun and fears about something happening between them. Rachel and Joshua go to Joshua's parents house and Rachel ends up going to a restaurant in her nighties with his parents.


Tired of Emily always leaving to London, Ross asks her to move in with him. She says it's too hard now. Then Ross asks Emily to marry him so that she can live with him, forever. Emily says yes. Meanwhile, the girls try to get their old apartment back. They offer season to the Knicks. The guys refuses but has a bet. The guys win and they get the apartment and the tickets. But when they come back from the game, the girls have already switched the apartments. Chandler tries to get it back but the girls make a backup offer: They will kiss each other for one minute. The guys agree, so the girls get their apartment.


Ross decides to have the wedding in 4 weeks. Rachel is having a difficult time dealing with this. She proposes to Joshua but he says no. Then he breaks up with her. Rachel tells the girls that she expected Ross and her to get back together sometime in the future and knows that's not going to happen. Monica and Phoebe goes to pick up Emily's wedding dress. Monica ends up wearing Emily's wedding dress and Phoebe also buys one. They pretend they're getting married. Meanwhile, Joey goes to a sleep clinic to help his snoring problem.


Ross ponders whether to invite Rachel to his wedding. He flashbacks into some of their moments in the past. After that, he decides to invite her. When Rachel gets the invitation, she ponders whether to go or not. She also flashbacks into previous moments in their relationship. She decides not to go because she says it's to hard to watch him get married. Clips from the Pilot, Blackout, Rachel Finds Out, Ross Finds Out, Prom Video, Ross and Rachel Take a Break, Morning After, Jellyfish are shown.


Ross picks Joey to be his best man. Joey holds a great bachelor party but he loses the Ross' family ring. He thinks the stipper stole it. So the guys devise a plan to get it back but finds out the Duck swallowed the ring. They take him to a vet and gets the ring back. Don't worry, the duck's fine! Ross decides to choose both guys as his best man. Meanwhile, the girls hold a baby shower for Phoebe. Phoebe is having trouble with the fact that she will not be the mother of the triplets. The girls convince her that she will be their cool Aunt Phoebe and that's so much better.

(Part 1-96/97 Season Finale)

The gang arrives in London to attend Ross and Emily's wedding, with the exception of Phoebe(travelling this late in pregnancy could harm the babies), and Rachel, who takes the opportunity alone to re-examine her feelings for Ross. Mishaps quickly jeopardize the wedding plans including the church to have the wedding burning down. All this is complicated even more when Rachel makes sudeenly decides to fly to London to tell Ross those 3 little words. Joey and Chandler explore London with the help of Joey's giant pop-up map, and Monica tries to cope with her fear of remaining single forever. Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, makes an appearance on Joey's video camera, when she runs into Joey, as Chandler has ditched him because he did not want to be around Joey when he(Joey) wore his hat. Later, Joey and Chandler work things out, and Chandler and Monica share their first evening together. Finally, the wedding comes, and during the vows, Ross says Rachel's name instead of Emily's.
